The Role
The APS 3 Logistics Officer is accountable under minimal direction to undertake logistic inventory management. The incumbent will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence's mission and business objectives. The incumbent will undertake a range of logistics inventory management tasks including but not limited to, Corporate Governance, Stocktaking, SCA Management, direct unit funding management and complying with WHS legislation and practices.
The APS 3 Logistics Officer will have stakeholder engagement and will be required to respond to changes and challenges to stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve outcomes. The Logistics Officer will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development. Daily tasks will require manual handling and lifting of equipment as well as driving tasks.
About our Team
The team is comprised of eight APS and a number uniformed members. The team provides logistic support to 4 CSSB and the dependent units across Victoria.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of logistics management through the use of information management systems, including policy and procedures, governance, reporting and stocktake management processes with a keen desire to achieve effective outcomes within required time frames. The candidate should have strong research, analytical and problem solving skills with the capacity to provide advice on logistic inventory management to stakeholders.
